Job summary

Cornerstone Community Church Wales is seeking an outdoors-minded Grounds Maintenance Assistant to join our estate team. You will help create and maintain a safe, welcoming environment for students, staff, guests and visitors.

You will work under the Estate Manager to carry out lawn care, planting, and general grounds maintenance, ensuring our grounds remain tidy, attractive and well presented throughout the year.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining lawns, flower beds, shrubs, hedges, and trees through mowing, watering, weeding, pruning, and fertilising.
• Planting and maintaining seasonal flowers, shrubs, trees, and landscaped areas.
• Assisting with landscape enhancement projects, including both soft and hard landscaping works.
• Carrying out hedge cutting, ornamental pruning, weed control, and general grounds maintenance.
• Assisting with paving, fencing, digging, and other hard landscape maintenance.
• Operating and maintaining gardening machinery, power tools, and equipment safely.
• Loading, unloading, and transporting gardening materials and equipment.
• Supporting seasonal grounds maintenance, including winter maintenance.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across the estate.

Someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in creating and maintaining beautiful gardens and grounds. You will play an important role in preserving and enhancing our estate, ensuring it remains a safe, welcoming, and attractive environment for students, staff, guests, and visitors. You will reporting to the Estate Manager.
