Job summary

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking a Permanent Gardener for a site in Dunstable (LU5). The role is full-time (35 hours per week) and involves outdoor grounds maintenance across residential estates. A driving licence is required to operate company vehicles, with PPE and training provided.

Ideal candidates will have gardening experience, the ability to use horticultural tools safely, and a customer‑focused approach. PA1/PA6a certificates are desirable, and a Basic DBS check is expected.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Experience in gardening or grounds maintenance.
• Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Physically able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of health & safety regulations.
• PA1 & PA6a pesticide certificates – desirable, not essential.
• A satisfactory Basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled grounds maintenance across multiple estates.
• Plant and maintain seasonal flower beds, hedges, shrubs, and turf.
• Weed, spray, and perform seasonal leaf clearance.
• Operate and maintain a range of manual and powered gardening tools.
• Apply and store chemicals safely in accordance with regulations.
• Remove and dispose of green waste responsibly.
• Assist with landscaping projects and ongoing improvements.
• Respond to urgent issues such as vandalism, hazards, or defects.
• Follow all health & safety procedures and wear PPE as required.
