Job summary

Haven is seeking a Grounds & Garden Team Member in the Exmouth area to join our park operations. You will help maintain flower beds, borders and landscaped areas to ensure a welcoming guest experience at all times.

The role supports a safe, well-kept space for visitors with training provided. We offer inclusive team culture, career development and attractive staff perks across Haven locations.

Qualifications

• Previous gardening, horticulture or grounds maintenance experience is valued but training is provided.
• Genuine interest in gardening, landscaping, or outdoor work.
• Basic plant knowledge such as weeding, pruning and seasonal care.
• Familiarity with tools and equipment like mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers, etc.

Responsibilities

• Maintain park and grounds to the highest standard for guests, including flower beds and landscaped areas.
• Keep spaces safe, secure, and well-maintained for visitors through skilled upkeep of grounds and facilities.
• Ensure gardens and green spaces remain vibrant, tidy and in top condition year-round.

Job description

Position: Grounds & Garden Team Member Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Seasonal Pay Rates: Up to £12.71 per hour depending on age

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the team to maintain the park and grounds to the highest standard for our guests, this includes caring for flower beds, borders, and landscaped areas.
• Help create a safe, secure, and well-maintained space for all visitors through skilled and consistent upkeep of the park's grounds and facilities.
• Contribute to a refreshing and memorable guest experience by keeping our beautiful gardens and green spaces vibrant, tidy, and in top condition year-round.

Requirements

• Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or grounds maintenance is valued but not essential; we provide training.
• A genuine interest in gardening, landscaping, or outdoor work.
• Basic plant knowledge (e.g., identifying weeds, pruning, seasonal care).
• Familiarity with tools and equipment such as mowers, strimmer’s, hedge trimmers, etc.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and undertake physical tasks.
• Due to operating grounds maintenance machinery, candidates must be 18 years and over.
