Job summary

Hillier Nurseries Limited is seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the restaurant and coffee shop at our Newbury garden centre. You will lead front and back of house teams, manage stock, control costs and collaborate with the Garden Centre Manager to maximise success.

The role is full-time (37.5 hours weekly) with daytime hours, a rota pattern, and a salary up to £38,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Experience managing hospitality operations at a supervisory level.
• Strong kitchen knowledge and ability to support as needed.
• Thorough understanding of allergens and safety requirements.
• Proven leadership, communication and people skills.
• Calm under pressure, well organised and detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant and coffee shop operations and service.
• Lead front and back of house teams and rota planning.
• Manage stock, supplies and cost controls with the Garden Centre Manager.
• Ensure high standards of food quality and customer service.
