Job summary

Hillier Nurseries at Marlow, Buckinghamshire, invites applications for an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead the on-site restaurant team. You will oversee daily operations, ensure high standards of service, manage stock, control costs, and collaborate with the Garden Centre Manager to maximise restaurant success.

This full-time, 37.5-hour week includes daytime hours, a rota pattern, pension scheme, life assurance, training and staff discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality management at front and back of house.
• Good kitchen knowledge and food awareness, with ability to step in and support when needed.
• Thorough understanding of allergens.
• Knowledgeable in maintaining and monitoring Health and Safety in department.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with employees and external contacts.
• Can-do attitude, remains calm under pressure.
• Effective time management and prioritisation.
• Eager to support and contribute to the wider team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure high standards of service.
• Lead front and back of house teams and manage staff rotas.
• Control stock, ordering and costs, and work with Garden Centre Manager to maximise success.
• Ensure food quality and customer satisfaction across all service areas.
