Job summary

IO Interactive is seeking a Data Engineer for our Brighton Studio to join the centralized Business Intelligence team. You will own and develop financial planning and analysis systems, data architecture, data sync, reporting solutions and forecasting models, working with the Technical Lead Data Engineer on broader data infrastructure.

The role emphasizes SQL, ETL pipelines, Prophix, Unit4 and Visma experience, Power BI reporting, and data-as-a-service initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data engineering, BI or financial data solutions.
• Experience with Prophix, Unit4, or Visma is an advantage.
• Strong SQL and data modelling; ETL/ELT pipelines and integrations.
• Experience automating data processing and REST APIs using Python, .NET, or similar tech.
• Power BI or similar reporting tools; Azure data products and Databricks valued.
• Able to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions and reports.
• Independent, proactive problem-solver with strong communication and collaboration.
• Flexible, able to handle changing priorities week to week.
• University degree or equivalent practical experience in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Identify critical financial data needs and translate them into solutions.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines across financial systems (Unit4, Prophix, Visma).
• Create core financial reporting tools (Power BI, automated slides, web apps).
• Manage Prophix budgeting and forecasting models; implement data import and automation.
• Provide monthly analytics support to accounting, financial control, commercial, game management and exec teams.
• Share analytics DevOps duties with Tech Lead Data Engineer; monitor telemetry and automation.
• Support migration of data infra from Azure/Microsoft Fabric to a new system.
• Contribute to data-as-a-service initiatives for secure AI connections to datasets.
