PERM ROLE: 0.6 FTE (Equivalent to 3 days a week)

Morgan Hunt is currently recruiting a part-time permanent Games Design Lecturer at an FE Sixth Form College in Greater Manchester.

Job Role - Games Design Lecturer

The successful candidate will be able to teach levels 1-3 and understand BTEC and OCR awarding bodies. Requirements include:

  • A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE / Cert Ed).
  • A good honours degree in a relevant subject or significant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in 3DsMax, with understanding of Maya and/or Blender.
  • Knowledge of games design software such as Unreal Engine, Adobe products, and experience with Revit / Unity is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with the conceptual and design pipeline process for game art and product development.
  • A passion for the games industry.
  • Ability to use new technologies to engage and inspire students.
  • A creative, fun, and student-focused approach to teaching.

Minimum Requirements
  • A UK-recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed).
