Based in Manchester, as a Game Designer (Vehicle Specialist), you will help develop vehicle experiences for Star Citizen. Collaborating with the Design teams, you'll balance and create vehicle gameplay across our universe. Join us to bring the ‘verse to life!

What does a Game Designer (Vehicle Specialist) do?

• Design and develop vehicle features for Squadron 42 and Persistent Universe, working with Lead Vehicle Designer and Vehicle Director to realize Chris Roberts’ vision.
• Implement vehicle designs and gameplay systems using in-house tools.

• Collaborate with artists, animators, audio, and VFX teams to craft vehicle experiences.
• Present concepts, designs, and proposals to project leads.
• Work with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate vehicle systems into the game.
• Analyze data to understand game usage, draw conclusions, and suggest improvements.
• Identify solutions that do not negatively impact other systems.
• Highlight workflow bottlenecks and suggest tool improvements.
• Resolve conflicts among disciplines to meet design goals.
• Review work at various stages to ensure alignment with vision and quality standards.

What do we expect from our Game Designer (Vehicle Specialist)?

• At least 2 years of professional game design experience.
