Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a QA Tester for a temporary engagement onsite at the Liverpool office. You will conduct test plans on pre-release software, report defects, and collaborate with PlayStation teams to ensure quality across platforms.

The ideal candidate has at least 6 months of Games/Software QA experience, solid networking understanding, strong communication, and the ability to work independently or in a team. On-site facilities and a flexible schedule are available.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of Games/Software QA experience.
• Understanding of networking setup and hardware as it applies to modern console/PC/mobile gaming.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out test plans on pre-release versions of software.
• Assessing product functionality against official quality standards.
• Researching and documenting product defects and violations.
• Logging issues for development team review in concise written report formats.
• Providing user feedback to help shape the end product.
• Applying knowledge of basic to intermediate networking principles and online gaming functionality.
• Collaborating on QA process related tasks and projects.
