Job summary

The British Museum is seeking an experienced Visitor Experience First Line Manager to lead and develop a team of Visitor Experience Assistants within one of the world’s most visited cultural attractions. This is a high-visibility leadership role focused on delivering outstanding visitor experience, operational excellence, safety and presentation across our galleries.

You will lead on floor leadership, manage visitor flow, coordinate staff deployment, respond to incidents and resolve customer

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading frontline teams.
• Strong people management including performance management and coaching.
• Experience delivering visitor service in busy public environments.
• Ability to make operational decisions and handle incidents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in museum/arts sector advantageous.
