Bangor University’s School of Arts and Humanities invites applications for a fixed-term Language Tutor to teach and promote Galician language, literature and culture. The post holder will also support Spanish language modules and contribute to the international development of Galician studies in higher education; a PhD is required and Welsh-language ability is essential.

Qualificações

• PhD in a relevant subject area.
• Experience tutoring Galician language, literature and culture.
• Ability to tutor in Spanish as part of established modules.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience of group teaching.
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.
• Welsh language ability essential for this post.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to teaching of Galician language, literature and culture in accordance with the curriculum.
• Coordinate with Bangor University lecturers to teach established Spanish cultural modules.
• Lead seminars/tutorials and prepare supplementary teaching materials.
• Provide marking assistance using agreed rubrics.
• Organise and communicate with students via Blackboard regarding module content.
