Carden Park Hotel Golf Resort & Spa is seeking a Sous Chef to lead a busy kitchen team in a luxury hotel and spa setting. You will prepare and cook high-quality fusion dishes, participate in menu development, and mentor junior chefs.

The role requires passion for food, strong leadership, and the ability to deliver creative menus while controlling costs. The position is 40 hours per week, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays, with a salary of £34,200 plus service charge and paid

Qualifications

• Passionate about food, flavour and creative cooking.
• Experience as Sous Chef or in a senior kitchen role.
• Interest in fusion cuisine and exploring different flavours.
• Creative and confident in bringing new ideas to the menu.
• Strong attention to detail, especially presentation and quality.
• Organised and able to stay calm in a busy kitchen.
• Natural leader who enjoys supporting and developing others.
• Positive, enthusiastic team player with a love for fresh ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh, high-quality dishes with a focus on fusion cuisine.
• Support menu development with creative ideas for Spa menus.
• Use fresh, seasonal ingredients to create nutritious, flavoursome dishes.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, quality and service.
• Help manage gross profit margins, stock rotation and kitchen costs.
• Maintain a safe, clean and hygienic working environment.
• Support and develop junior chefs and kitchen team members.
