Job summary
UK Atomic Energy Authority in Culham is seeking a Process Engineering Group Lead to lead, develop and manage the Process Engineering Group and own the discipline across programmes and projects. You will provide strategic management, standard procedures, and enable delivery of process and chemical engineering outputs, engaging with senior project managers to build relationships and ensure timely support.
The role requires Chartered Engineer status or progress towards it, deep expertise in
Qualifications
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent.
- Chartered Engineer status with IChemE or equivalent encouraged.
- Experience leading technical teams.
- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering, process safety, and process modelling.
- Knowledge of hazard identification and risk analysis methods.
Responsibilities
- Lead site-level projects and provide design solutions and critical plant operation guidance.
- Develop capability and skills within the Group for UKAEA and the wider fusion community.
- Define, implement, and improve processes and toolsets for best practice in process engineering development and design.
- Provide technical leadership and act as a reference for technical knowledge.
