UK Atomic Energy Authority Culham site is seeking an Engineering Analysis Group Lead to steer the Engineering Analysis Group, delivering specialist CAE-driven substantiation across projects. The role combines strategic leadership, process development and staff coaching to ensure high-quality engineering analysis delivery.

Qualifications

• A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or NAFEMS PSE Advanced certification.
• Experience in direct line management and development of engineers.
• Experience in managing large qualification work packages with multiple analysts.

Responsibilities

• Act as Technical Reference for divisions, focusing on CAE tools.
• Define and implement processes and standards for design, analysis and qualification work.
• Act as arbitrator on technical conflicts across UKAEA divisions.
• Promote the capability and expertise of the group across divisions and external partners.
• Ensure effective management of analysis and qualification activities for projects or work packages.
• Lead the technical delivery of engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with legislation and site procedures.
• Ensure detailed designs are appropriately qualified and adhere to design standards.
• Oversee workload and development of group employees and align with departmental objectives.
• Develop training plans for engineering analysis staff and build capability within the team.
• Establish strategic relationships with clients to define work packages and budgets.
