Job summary

UK Atomic Energy Authority is seeking an Engineering Analysis Group Lead to drive technical leadership and the development of engineers across fusion projects. You will manage the group, implement quality processes, and ensure timely delivery of complex analyses and substantiation across UKAEA programmes.

The role requires Chartered Engineer status or equivalent, and experience in leading large qualification packages.

Qualifications

  • Essential: engineering degree or equivalent experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Essential: Chartered Engineer Status or NAFEMS PSE (Advanced) certification.
  • Desirable: experience managing large qualification work packages with multiple analysts.
  • Desirable: experience delivering analytical work for fusion-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineering Analysis Group and provide strategic management for delivery and development of analysts.
  • Define processes and standards for design, analysis and qualification work from concept to detailed design.
  • Act as technical reference for CAE tools and adjudicate technical conflicts across divisions.
  • Drive capability development and training for engineering analysis staff and establish client relationships.
