Furniture Polisher : Late Shift

Salary: A GBP 17.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Employment: Permanent, 39 hours per week

Work schedule : 4 days : Monday : Wednesday 3:30pm : 2:00am, Thursday 3:30pm : 1:00am

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Furniture Polisher to join our production team. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the efficient, high:quality application of paint and finishes across all products.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply lacquers and paints using spray equipment, including AC and water:based products.
• Carry out colour spraying and colour matching to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure all finished products meet the required quality and presentation standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and tight customer deadlines.
• Maintain the spray shop to a high standard, including changing filters, keeping equipment and work areas clean, and maintaining a safe working environment.
• Follow all company HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) requirements and procedures.
• Identify and report any issues that could affect quality, safety or production.
• Work flexibly and support other production activities when required.
• Contribute positively to a culture of continuous improvement.

Essential Skills And Experience

• Previous experience working as a Furniture Polisher / Sprayer or in a similar finishing environment.
• Proven experience spraying lacquers and paints, including both AC and water:based products.
• Experience with colour spraying and matching customer colours.
• Knowledge of maintaining a spray shop and following safe working practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• The ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
• A flexible and positive approach to work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
• A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
