Job summary

Curtis Furniture Ltd is seeking an experienced Furniture Polisher for the late shift at our Leeds LS10 site. This permanent role offers a 39-hour week, with four days: Monday to Wednesday 3:30pm–2:00am, and Thursday 3:30pm–1:00am.

You will spray lacquers and paints (AC and water-based products), perform colour spraying and matching, and ensure every finished product meets our quality standards while working safely and supporting a culture of continuous improvement in a collaborative production

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Furniture Polisher or Sprayer in finishing environment.
• Proven spraying of lacquers and paints (AC and water-based).
• Experience with colour spraying and matching customer colours.
• Knowledge of maintaining spray shop and following safe working practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Apply lacquers and paints using spray equipment, including AC and water-based products.
• Carry out colour spraying and colour matching to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure all finished products meet the required quality and presentation standards.
• Work efficiently to meet production targets and tight customer deadlines.
• Maintain the spray shop to a high standard, including changing filters and keeping areas clean, while maintaining safety.
• Follow all company HSE requirements and procedures.
• Identify and report any issues that could affect quality, safety or production.
• Work flexibly and support other production activities when required.
• Contribute positively to a culture of continuous improvement.

Furniture Polisher - Late Shift

Salary: £17.50 per hour, dependent on experience.

Employment: Permanent, 39 hours per week

Work schedule - 4 days : Monday - Wednesday 3:30pm - 2:00am, Thursday 3:30pm - 1:00am

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Furniture Polisher to join our production team. The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring the efficient, high-quality application of paint and finishes across all products.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Previous experience working as a Furniture Polisher / Sprayer or in a similar finishing environment.
• Proven experience spraying lacquers and paints, including both AC and water-based products.
• Experience with colour spraying and matching customer colours.
• Knowledge of maintaining a spray shop and following safe working practices.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• The ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
• A flexible and positive approach to work.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• A proactive attitude and commitment to continuous improvement.
• A strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
