Job Title: Factory Operative

Job Details:

• Pay: £13.00 per hour
• Type: Full Time; Permanent
• Location: Leeds LS10, West Yorkshire
• Working Days: Monday to Thursday, 7am to 3.30pm; Friday, 7am to 2.30pm

Company Overview:

Our client, based on the outskirts of Leeds, has been established for 27 years and is a market leader in manufacturing furniture for the Hospitality Industry. They manufacture and fit out hotels with bespoke furniture for clients such as Hilton, Sheraton, Holiday Inn, and Crowne Plaza.

Candidate Profile:

This position is suitable for candidates with experience in assembly and some interest or experience in operating wood machines.

Responsibilities:

1. Basic health and safety awareness, including manual handling
2. Learn to operate woodwork machinery
3. Quality checking and fault identification
4. Packing products
5. Backing off machinery within the factory
6. Moving work in progress around the factory to required locations
7. Willingness to learn various factory areas including upholstery, polishing/spraying, furniture assembly, and operating machines like beam saw, CNC, and edge bander
8. Working as part of a team and independently
9. Maintaining high standards of quality
10. Good communication skills at all levels
11. Proactive attitude and ability to use own initiative
