Job summary

The role requires leading process improvements using SPC and Six Sigma, and coordinating maintenance, setup documentation, and team training. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in ceramic, mechanical, or chemical engineering, with five years of furnace/manufacturing experience and certification preferences such as

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in ceramic, mechanical, or chemical engineering is preferred.
• Five years minimum furnace and manufacturing experience.
• Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain safety goals and ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
• Acts as a technical resource for the organization and meets established goals.
• Utilizes SPC methods and Six Sigma to reduce variation and drive continuous improvement.
• Directs multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizes completion to meet objectives.
• Operates, controls and maintains furnace and forehearth to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Writes and maintains job instructions, process setup sheets and check sheets.
