Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Scunthorpe is seeking a Funeral Service Crew member for part-time hours (15 per week) at £13.24/hour. The role includes on-call duties and occasional night shifts, with travel to Hull as needed.

Full training is provided and you will join a supportive team delivering compassionate funeral services with dignity. Responsibilities include transporting the deceased, preparing coffins, maintaining vehicles, and handling client information with care.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (manual lifting).
• Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional manner.
• Bear coffins on the day of the funeral and drive funeral vehicles.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral.
• Maintain client management applications with timely records.
• Lift, carry and move coffins using safe techniques and equipment.
