Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare is seeking an empathetic and commercially minded individual to join the team as a Funeralcare Manager. The role involves balancing managerial tasks with client-facing duties, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and care.

You’ll work full-time in Stoke-on-Trent and surrounding areas, with an on-call rota including evenings and weekends. No prior industry experience is required, but great people skills and a commercial focus are essential.

Job description

Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Sunday, 8am-8pm - as part of this role, you'll also be part of the on call rota - Monday to Friday, 16:30-20:00 and Weekends 08:00-20:00 on a 1 day in 5 basis.

Stoke-On-Trent, ST6 2BH and covering Stafford, Leek, and Stone.

No experience needed.

Please note all positions within Funeralcare can involve direct physical contact with the deceased as part of normal duties - the amount of contact will differ dependant on role applied for.

Typical duties include but are not limited to preparation, transportation, and personal care of the deceased to be carried out with professionalism, dignity, respect and adherence to health and safety standards.

What you'll do

• make sure client needs, service levels and KPIs are met

• support funerals - conducting the ceremony, leading the team and carrying the deceased when necessary
• make sure all regulated work, including funeral planning appointments, is referred to a 'certified colleague'
