Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in Stoke-on-Trent is hiring a Funeral Director. This full‑time role is 37.5 hours per week with an on-call rota, covering Stafford, Leek and Stone. No experience is required, but you should be empathetic, commercially minded and capable of handling sensitive duties with professionalism.

You’ll lead funerals, supervise the team, and ensure regulated work is referred to a certified colleague. A UK driving licence is required.

Funeral Director

£29,776 per annum (£15.27 per hour) plus benefits

Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Sunday, 8am-8pm - as part of this role, you'll also be part of the on call rota - Monday to Friday, 16:30-20:00 and Weekends 08:00-20:00 on a 1 day in 5 basis.

Stoke-On-Trent, ST6 2BH and covering Stafford, Leek, and Stone.

No experience needed.

Please note all positions within Funeralcare can involve direct physical contact with the deceased as part of normal duties – the amount of contact will differ dependant on role applied for.

Typical duties include but are not limited to preparation, transportation, and personal care of the deceased to be carried out with professionalism, dignity, respect and adherence to health and safety standards.
