Job summary

Co-op Funeralcare in the United Kingdom is seeking an empathetic and commercially minded funeral director. The role balances managerial tasks with client relationships and delivers compassionate service to families.

You will work full-time (37.5 hours per week) with core hours 9am–5pm and participate in an on-call rota (1 in 4 evenings and weekends). No prior industry experience is required, and you’ll join a supportive team committed to respectful, professional care.

• Ensure all regulated work, including planning appointments, is referred to a certified colleague.
• Build and maintain relationships with the team, clients and the community.

Covering an area of 12 branches in Peterborough Cambridge and Grantham

No experience needed.

Please note all positions within Funeralcare can involve direct physical contact with the deceased as part of normal duties - the amount of contact will differ dependant on role applied for.

Typical duties include but are not limited to preparation, transportation, and personal care of the deceased to be carried out with professionalism, dignity, respect and adherence to health and safety standards.
