Job summary

The Wallich is a leading homelessness charity in Wales; the Trust and Foundations Fundraising Officer will secure funding to sustain and grow vital work. You will work with the Fundraising Manager and teams to build relationships with funders and report impact.

Hybrid-working with flexible location across Wales is available. Strong written communication, grant-seeking track record, and ability to manage funding pipelines are essential to maximise future support for core activities and priority

Responsibilities

• Develop funding applications with operational teams to meet income targets.
• Maintain a pipeline of suitable prospects for funding opportunities.
• Monitor income pledges, funding progress and risks, reporting to the manager.
• Coordinate monitoring and evaluation reports to funders and ensure deadlines are met.
• Record administration in the fundraising CRM and shared databases.
• Build relationships with funders and explain impact of support.

Hours of Work:

37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00 with some flexibility

Hybrid-working; head office is in Cardiff however the successful applicant can be based anywhere across Wales as we have offices in multiple locations.

Purpose of Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Trust and Foundations Fundraising Officer to help secure the funding needed to sustain and develop our vital work. Working closely with the Trust & Foundation Fundraising Manager and colleagues across the organisation, the successful candidate will be a confident relationship-builder with excellent written communication skills and a track record of securing grant funding and reporting impact to funders to maximise future support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with operational teams to develop funding applications to meet agreed income targets to help fund core activities and priority projects.
• To develop and maintain a list of suitable, well researched prospects and ensure that opportunities for funding are not missed by maintaining a suitable pipeline.
• Regular review of income pledges and received, and the funding pipeline, reporting progress and risks to manager.
• Liaise with relevant project staff to coordinate and submit monitoring and evaluation reports to funders.
• Ensure all reporting requirements are met in line with agreed deadlines.
• To ensure that all relevant administration is recorded accurately on the fundraising CRM and shared team databases.
• To monitor payment dates and ensure payments are received when expected.
• Build and maintain relationships with funders, helping them to understand the impact of their support.
• Support the Contracts and Planning Team with other duties as required, contributing flexibly to wider team priorities and organisational needs

This role is subject to a Basic DBS disclosure.
