Job summary

bunch is building the operating infrastructure for the next generation of private markets. We are seeking an experienced Head of Fund Operations to lead our Capital Management domain, delivering capital calls, distributions, treasury services and day-to-day fund operations across European markets.

You will oversee managers and senior specialists, scale teams, and partner with Product and Engineering to redesign fund operations, embedding automation and customer-centric service at scale.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience within fund administration, private equity, venture capital or another complex financial operations environment.
• Experience leading managers and building high‑performing organisations across multiple teams.
• Strong expertise in fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, investor servicing and treasury processes.
• The credibility to coach experienced operators through complex fund structures, LP agreements and operational challenges.
• A systems mindset with a focus on automation, process design and scalable operating models.
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering to improve operational tooling or building technology-enabled services.
• Strong commercial judgement balancing customer experience with operational quality and efficiency.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
• Bias for ownership and solving difficult operational problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead managers and senior operational experts across multiple markets.
• Own operational delivery for capital calls, distributions, treasury operations, investor support and fund-related services.
• Drive operational excellence across quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Coach experienced fund operations professionals through complex challenges.
• Set priorities, allocate capacity and scale the organisation with growth.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to automate manual work and influence product direction.
• Collaborate with Fund Accounting, Investor Onboarding, Fund Implementations and Customer Success to deliver seamless customer experience.
• Hire, develop and retain exceptional operational talent.
• Lead through ambiguity and ensure consistent execution across teams and markets.
