Finance, Accounting & Middle Office Search for Private Markets and Funds Management

A high profile European global alternative asset management group is looking to appoint a Fund Controller to their London office in a newly created opportunity due to successful fund launches. This particular role is aligned to their private equity strategies, which encompasses venture capital, direct/co-investment, buy out, growth capital and secondaries, with the investment and non investment team spread across several European locations.

This role would suit someone a few years PQE in-house in a private equity manager looking for a step up in responsibilities, with the chance to be more business facing and commercial in a semi standalone role.

Hybrid working 3 days in the office with a flexible, supportive and collegiate environment; ideal for someone looking for a more inclusive employee centric working environment.

Responsibilities will include:

• Oversight of investor reporting and fund accounting and fund operations for your designated funds (all outsourced); key point of contact for service providers and auditors
• Monitoring and analysis of the investment related activities for various private equity programs
• Fund forecasting and cashflow / liquidity management
• Performance analysis
• Completion of both ad-hoc and recurring investor requests as required
• Active involvement in various projects and initiatives implementation

Your background:

• Ideally practice trained and ex audit with a few years in-house in a private equity fund
• Previous experience of managing service providers would be preferred
• Curious mindset with a desire to understand the impact of various investment transactions on the private equity programs
• Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) and interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented, organised and self-motivated with ability to meet demanding deadlines

Salary on offer is around £75-85,000 base plus benefits and bonus.
