Job summary

LGPS Central invites a skilled Fund Accounting Manager to join its Finance team at a pivotal moment for the organisation. This role will support the Head of Finance in delivering robust financial operations, overseeing outsourcing providers, and ensuring regulatory and cost reporting for LGPS Central's investment products.

You will collaborate with auditors, oversee VAT and tax matters, and contribute to risk management and policy development while mentoring the Finance team to maintain high

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate complex, technical matters clearly.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good report-writing and verbal communication.
• Active participation in CPD with up-to-date accounting, finance, investments, and pensions knowledge.
• Motivate and develop Finance team to perform at a high level.

Responsibilities

• Oversee annual reports and financial statements for LGPS Central Limited’s investment products.
• Assist regulatory returns and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors and support audit plans.
• Prepare financial statements for subsidiary entities and reconciliations between group entities.
• Contribute to tax filings and VAT management for investment products.
• Prepare Partner Fund reporting in liaison with Investments teams.
• Oversee cost transparency and benchmarking analyses.
• Manage treasury and cash flow forecasting in liaison with Investments Ops.
• Oversee outsourced fund accounting and financial reporting providers; perform checks and liaise with providers.
• Support risk management, policy development and senior management decisions.
