Job summary

Aztec is seeking a Fund Accountant to carry out routine day-to-day accounting for fund structures under the direction of a Financial Reporting Manager. The role involves bookkeeping for funds and management companies, preparing investor reports and statutory statements.

We value ACCA/ACA progression, 2–4 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of Lux GAAP/IFRS. Flexible, hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance.
• ACCA or ACA studying; ideally part-qualified.
• Between 2-4 years relevant experience, exposure to Real Assets industry and knowledge of Propco is advantageous.
• An understanding and exposure to Lux GAAP and IFRS is beneficial.
• Computer literacy skills are essential.
• Exposure to regulatory reporting is advantageous (BCL, CSSF reporting).

Responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of the bookkeeping of funds, management companies and associated fund structures
• Assist with all aspects of accounting matters, including the preparation, reconciliation and proofing of investor reports, statutory financial statements, and ad hoc requests
• Assist with the completion of routine audit queries
• Prepare periodic bank reconciliations and provide or source supporting documentation evidencing transactions
• Maintain accurate records on Yardi, eFront and Microsoft Excel working paper schedules for all aspects of bookkeeping
• Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns

About the role:
