Job summary

Capita is seeking an educator to support over 7,000 Royal Navy apprentices across the UK. You will deliver English and Maths Functional Skills, both in classrooms and in field settings, and provide tailored learner support while upholding Duty of Care.

Training will include Level 3–5 Education and Training qualifications and ESFA funding knowledge. Enjoy a full-time role of 37.5 hours weekly, with opportunities to advance your teaching credentials and work within a high-profile, mission-driven

Qualifications

• Level 2 English and Maths required; higher qualification preferred.
• Teaching qualification minimum Level 3 or progress towards it.
• Strong understanding of English/Maths curriculum and assessment.
• Able to support learners with diverse needs and additional learning support.
• Experience with apprenticeship provision and ESFA funding rules.

Responsibilities

• Deliver English and Maths Functional Skills to Royal Navy learners, in classroom or on ships/outreach.
• Monitor, identify and prepare training materials.
• Provide tailored support to learners with varying abilities; support learners with additional learning needs.
• Uphold Duty of Care for trainees under your supervision.
• Develop coaching and mentoring skills to support learners.
