Job summary

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils, SEND teams and Schools across the UK. We are seeking Functional Skills Tutors in Peterlee to support children and young people with 1-1 or small group sessions in Maths, English and PSHE at Entry Level 3 to Level 2.

Tuition will be delivered face to face in community settings, schools or at the learner's home; you will develop personalised plans, monitor progress and provide regular feedback to families, with access to CPD and learning

Qualifications

Previous experience with functional skills
Hold the right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willing to process a new application
Able to reference the last two years of education/employment

Responsibilities

Deliver one‑to‑one or small group tuition in Functional Skills Maths and/or English
Develop and implement personalised lesson plans that address individual learning gaps
Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback to students and their families
Create a supportive and motivating learning environment to help students re‑build their confidence in learning
Complete daily attendance and weekly reports
