Job summary

Luma Education Recruitment is seeking a Functional Skills Support Worker in Chatteris to support young learners with maths and English across outreach and hub sessions. The role involves working between an education hub and local outreach, with hours 9am–3pm, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP.

Experience with SEN/SEMH is helpful; driving licence and car access are essential. This position offers ongoing temp work with CPD and supportive recruitment backing.

Functional Skills Support Worker – Chatteris

Location: Chatteris, Cambridgeshire (PE16)

Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 9am – 3pm

Contract: Temporary, ongoing

Essential: Driving licence and access to a car

A Functional Skills Support Worker is needed to help young people in the Chatteris area with maths and English. You'll work between a nearby education hub and outreach sessions with learners locally. The hours are 9am to 3pm, Monday to Friday, starting ASAP.

About the Setting

A Fenland alternative education provision supporting young people with a range of needs, including SEN and SEMH.

Your Duties

• Deliver outreach sessions with learners around Chatteris
• Support maths and English learning at the hub
• Help learners work towards Functional Skills qualifications
• Work one-to-one and in small groups
• Update staff on each learner's progress

What You'll Need

• Experience supporting young people in education, tutoring or youth work
