Job summary

Maven Group Ltd is hiring a PIP Disability Assessor in Harrow. The role involves conducting 3–4 client assessments daily, via telephone, video or in person, and producing factual reports to assist the DWP in determining eligibility.

You will work a hybrid pattern, with on-site days in Harrow and remote days from home, and benefit from an excellent starting salary and structured support.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or HCPC qualified professional or GPhC pharmacist.
• 1+ year post-registration experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proactive and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 3–4 client assessments per day (telephone, video or face‑to‑face).
• Assess how disability or health condition affects daily life.
• Gather information and produce a factual report to support DWP decisions.
• Ensure reports are accurate; DWP makes the final decision.

What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve?

The PIP Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 to 4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for the claim. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist or a GPhC registered Pharmacist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience
• Someone who is proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
