Job summary

Maven is recruiting for a PIP Disability Assessor in the United Kingdom. The role offers an excellent starting salary of £47,853 per annum and a hybrid schedule (3 days on-site, 2 days home-based).

You will perform 3–4 assessments daily and prepare reports to inform DWP decisions, with training and support provided. The position requires healthcare registration (NMC/HCPC/GPhC) and post-registration experience, strong communication, and adaptability to a range of conditions including mental

Qualifications

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist or a GPhC registered Pharmacist with 1 year or more broad post-registration experience.
• Someone who is proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health

Responsibilities

• Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
• Hybrid working (3 days on-site and 2 days working from home)
• Southend-On-Seabased when working on-site

£2,000 performance related salary uplift within the first 12 months following training and achieving PIP Disability Assessor approval

What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve?

The PIP Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 to 4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. Youll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for the claim. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
