Job summary

Maven Consulting Group Ltd is seeking a PIP Disability Assessor in Southend-on-Sea. Eligible professionals include NMC/HCPC/GPhC registered nurses or allied health professionals.

The role offers a starting salary of £47,853 per year, with a £2,000 performance uplift after training and achieving PIP approval. The position is hybrid: 3 days on-site, 2 days at home, with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays and a pension.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse or HCPC qualified professional with 1+ years post-registration experience.
• GPhC registered Pharmacist with 1+ years post-registration experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 3–4 client assessments per day.
• Produce factual reports to help DWP determine eligibility of claims.
• Engage in telephone, video or face-to-face assessments and participate in training and onboarding.

What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve?

The PIP Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 to 4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. Youll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for the claim. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist or a GPhC registered Pharmacist with 1 years or more broad post-registration experience
• Someone who is proactive and keen to learn
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Competent IT and computer skills
• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
