Job Description:

The Role

The Finance Platform Functional Analyst aims to provide technical guidance and expertise in the support, development, implementation, and optimisation of the Finance platform. This role ensures that the platform is efficient and equipped with the latest features to support finance operations within Unite Students.

The analyst bridges the gap between the technical capabilities of the Finance Platform and business needs, ensuring the platform is set up, customised, and used to maximise its value while maintaining data integrity, security, and compliance. They will also train and become a functional expert in new SaaS technologies as onboarded.

Leading by example, they foster a collaborative environment and work closely with team members and the wider business. The role reports to the Finance Platform Lead and sits within the Business Platforms Team in IT.

What You`ll Be Doing
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for Enterprise Systems and related business processes, resolving issues with key users and third-party support.
  • Deliver system changes and enhancements to improve processes and tools, including writing and analysing functional requirements and developing solutions.
  • Support future Enterprise Systems as they come online.
  • Assist in managing the team’s workload to meet priorities.
  • Own and improve change management processes aligned with business priorities.
  • Log, respond to, and escalate support calls within SLA targets using the ITSM tool.
  • Create and maintain system documentation supporting IT and business needs.
  • Engage with other functions to identify requirements for new initiatives that improve core systems.
  • Develop strong relationships with customers and colleagues through excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Manage the UAT process for system changes, coordinating testing scenarios and supporting key users.
  • Schedule patches, upgrades, and code releases in line with business priorities and workload.
What We`re Looking for in You
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion, Oracle EBS, and Oracle Financials.
  • Experience supporting large-scale / tier 1 ERP systems.
  • Experience delivering IT change and projects.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Oracle, Azure).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, prioritising tasks effectively.
  • Experience using IT support tools (Project Management, ITSM, Deployment).
