We are working with a fast-growing healthcare services business to recruit a Contracts & Compliance Manager during an exciting phase of continued growth and development.
The organisation delivers specialist services across the healthcare sector, supporting clients with complex operational challenges and delivering large-scale, project-based programmes. Continued growth has increased the scale and complexity of its operations, creating the need for an experienced Contracts & Compliance Manager to ensure robust processes are maintained as the business continues to expand.
Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this is a broad and hands-on role with responsibility for overseeing contract management, workforce compliance and candidate onboarding, while ensuring the business continues to meet relevant legal, regulatory and client-specific requirements.
The successful candidate will work closely with the CFO and teams across the organisation, taking ownership of key compliance processes, identifying and mitigating potential risks and helping to develop the systems and procedures required to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of relevant healthcare frameworks, Agency Workers Regulations, IR35, GDPR and other applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure contractors and healthcare professionals meet all required compliance standards before commencing assignments.
- Oversee right-to-work documentation, DBS checks, professional qualifications, training records and other required documentation.
- Proactively monitor expiry dates and ensure updated documentation is obtained within appropriate timescales.
- Conduct regular audits of compliance records and internal processes to ensure professional and regulatory standards are maintained.
- Identify potential compliance risks and work with the CFO and wider management team to implement appropriate solutions.
- Continuously review existing compliance processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency and control.
Contract Management
- Oversee the preparation, issue and completion of client and contractor agreements.
- Ensure contractual documentation is completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Monitor outstanding agreements and elevate potential issues where necessary.
- Maintain visibility over contract end dates, renewals and extensions.
- Coordinate contract renewals and terminations, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed promptly and accurately.
- Maintain comprehensive and accessible records across all client and contractor agreements.
Candidate & Client Onboarding
- Coordinate the compliant onboarding of new contractors and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure all required checks, documentation and contractual requirements are completed before assignments commence.
- Support the onboarding of new clients, ensuring accurate information is captured for contracting and invoicing purposes.
- Ensure supplier and contractor records are established correctly to support accurate and timely payments.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure onboarding is efficient while maintaining appropriate compliance standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records relating to contracts, compliance and workforce documentation.
- Produce regular reporting for the CFO and management team covering contract status, compliance rates, upcoming expiries and audit outcomes.
- Identify trends, gaps and areas of potential operational or regulatory risk.
- Support management in developing processes and controls to mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure documentation is appropriately maintained and readily available for internal or external review.
Operational & Finance Support
- Support the weekly timesheet process, ensuring timesheets are submitted and approved within agreed deadlines.
- Finalise contractor payment information for the finance team to process accurately and on time.
- Support credit control activity where required.
- Ensure new client and supplier records contain the correct information to facilitate accurate invoicing and minimise payment delays.
- Respond to contractual, compliance and onboarding queries from clients, contractors and colleagues in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage company laptop inventory, coordinating the issue and return of equipment and maintaining accurate records of company assets.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience within contracts, compliance, contractor onboarding or a related operational role.
- Previous experience within healthcare, recruitment, staffing or another highly regulated environment would be particularly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of compliance-led processes and the importance of maintaining complete and accurate documentation.
- Knowledge of healthcare procurement frameworks, AWR, IR35, GDPR or workforce compliance would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies and potential areas of risk.
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple contracts, deadlines, renewals and compliance requirements simultaneously.
- Confident communicator, comfortable building relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues across all levels of an organisation.
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of issues through to resolution.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce risk.
- A legal, compliance or HR-related qualification such as CIPD, CIPP or similar would be advantageous but is not essential.
