Job summary

Ocean Infinity is seeking a hands-on Tech Lead for our fast-growing team. You will own how the fullstack product is built, setting technical direction across backend services and web applications, while remaining an active contributor.

The role focuses on a backend-first, stack-plural approach using C#/.NET with React and a TypeScript stack (Next.js, tRPC, Node, Postgres). You will lead delivery, mentor engineers, drive code quality, and collaborate with Product, Design and QA to ship features.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proven experience as Tech Lead or similar role, owning technical delivery.
• Strong backend fundamentals: API design, architecture, and patterns.
• Experience with React and single-page web apps.
• Relational databases and ORM with schema and migrations.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and Git.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software security.
• Fluent English, strong communication, leadership qualities.

Responsibilities

• Set the technical direction for a fullstack product across backend services and web applications, while writing and reviewing code.
• Own the approach, sequencing, capacity, and delivery quality.
• Ensure backend design discipline to keep services maintainable as the team grows.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA to define and ship features.
• Facilitate delivery rhythm: stand-ups, planning, refinements, retrospectives; remove impediments.
• Mentor team through code reviews and constructive feedback.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools in daily workflow and help the team adopt them.
• Follow development and quality best practices; document software and processes as needed.
