Job summary

OneOcean Group is seeking a mid-level .NET Back-End Developer to design, build and maintain robust server-side applications powering our maritime products. The role is remote within the UK and involves collaborating with product managers to translate requirements into scalable solutions.

You will work in an Agile environment, implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and ensure performance, security, and maintainability with Clean Architecture and EF Core.

Qualifications

• Experience building production-grade APIs and services.
• Deep knowledge of .NET 8+, C#, and EF Core.
• Secure authentication flows (OAuth2 / OpenID Connect).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs using .NET.
• Work with SQL Server databases, schemas, and query optimisation.
• Implement data access layers with EF Core.
• Build authentication and authorization mechanisms.
• Collaborate in a loose Agile/Sprint framework with frontend, QA, and product teams.
• Ensure code quality with automated testing and Clean Architecture.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.
• Maintain API documentation (Swagger/OpenAPI).
