Job summary

Ocean Infinity, based in London, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a group of software engineers within the Core Engineering team (C#/.NET or Node/TypeScript). This senior role focuses on people, capability and capacity, ensuring engineers are developed, performance is strong, and projects align with company priorities.

You will work with team leads to grow a scalable engineering organization, handle recruitment, onboarding, and resource planning, and protect team health and engagement

Qualifications

• Experience leading software engineers in scaling organisations.
• Proven ability to hire, retain and develop engineering talent.
• Strong coaching and feedback skills; fair performance handling.

Responsibilities

• Line-manage a group of engineers; run regular 1:1s and career development.
• Own performance management, recognition and rewards.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding and retention for your group.
• Own capacity and resource planning; allocate engineers to projects.
• Collaborate with product and other leads to balance capacity.
• Build leadership pipeline and ensure a healthy team environment.
