Job summary

Herefordshire & Ludlow College is seeking a Full Time Trainer/Assessor for Plumbing & Gas Apprenticeships to join our Hereford and Holme Lacy campuses. The role combines teaching theory with practical units up to Level 3 and involves workplace assessments across employers in Herefordshire.

You will carry out progress reviews, End Point Assessment preparation, and related recruitment, placement and quality monitoring tasks to support learners and the college's mission.

Full Time Trainer/Assessor for Plumbing & Gas Apprenticeships

Full Time TRAINER / ASSESSOR for PLUMBING & GAS APPRENTICESHIPS
Salary up to £39,566 depending on qualifications and experience

To teach a range of theory and practical units to plumbing and gas apprentices up to Level 3.

In addition, progress reviews and workplace competency assessments will be carried out, via site visits, for the same cohorts of Level 3 Apprentices working for a range of public and private sector employers across Herefordshire and neighbouring counties.

The split between teaching and assessing roles will be approximately 50/50% and the post-holder will be based at our campuses in Hereford & Holme Lacy.

As part of the role you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational / administrative processes including recruitment and placement processes, quality monitoring and reporting, preparation of apprentices for End Point Assessment, and achievement claims. You will also support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s key mission and objectives.
