Job summary

Wigan & Leigh College is seeking a Plumbing and Gas Trainer Assessor to support apprentices in plumbing, heating and gas through Level 2 and 3. You will conduct workplace assessments, progress reviews and health and safety appraisals, setting SMART targets with learners and employers to ensure progression.

You will also prepare learners for ACS and end-point assessments, review portfolios, embed Functional Skills and deliver apprenticeship standards across college and employer partnerships.

Qualifications

• Essentially an enhanced DBS check will be required for the role.
• Industry relevant assessment qualifications and plumbing/gas knowledge are required.

Responsibilities

• Assess Plumbing and Heating apprentices at Levels 2 and 3.
• Carry out workplace assessments, progress reviews and health and safety appraisals.
• Set SMART targets and clear action plans with apprentices and employers.
• Assess portfolios and support apprentices to build strong evidence.
• Prepare learners for ACS assessments and end-point assessment.
