Job summary

Herefordshire & Ludlow College is seeking a Full-time Technician for Plumbing, Heating and Gas to support the Plumbing & Heating and Gas Engineering workshops at Folly Lane Campus, Hereford, with occasional duties at the Holme Lacy campus.

You will be responsible for workshop and equipment maintenance, assisting staff and students in practical delivery of the curriculum, and managing consumables stocks and lesson materials preparation to ensure smooth delivery.

Qualifications

• Commitment to comprehensive post-16 education and training.
• Experience in workshop maintenance or management in an educational context.
• Ability to work with young people and oversee workshop logistics.

Full-Time Technician for Plumbing, Heating and Gas

As part of the ongoing development and growth of our plumbing & heating and gas engineering curriculum areas at HLNSC, we are seeking to appoint a Full time Technician for Plumbing, Heating and Gas.

TomaintainthePlumbing & Heating and Gas Engineeringtraining workshops, tools,equipmentand stores and provide technical support to staff and students across thePlumbing & Heating and Gas Engineering curriculum areas.

The key responsibilities of the postinclude workshop andequipmentmaintenance, supportingstaff and students in the practical delivery of the curriculum, and managing consumablestocks and the preparation of lesson materials.

We are looking for an individual who has a real commitment to comprehensive post 16 education and training,ideally withrelevant workshop maintenance / management experience, preferably within an educational / vocational training context.

Then post will be based at our Folly Lane Campus in Hereford, with some supportrequiredfor provision at the Low Carbon Technology Training Centre at our Holme Lacy campus.

Whoever we appoint will need to be able to work well with young people as well as being able to oversee thelogisticsof workshop management and development.
