Full-Time Teaching Assistants - SEN Primary School

We Are Working With a Specialist School In Telford To Recruit a Full-time Teaching Assistants To Join Their Dedicated And Experienced Team. We Are a Specialist SEN Primary School Supporting Children Aged 5 To 11 With a Range Of Needs Including

• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Speech, Language and Communication Needs
• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties
• Sensory and/or Physical Needs
  
  

About The Role

As a Teaching Assistant you will play a key role in supporting pupils to access a rich, engaging curriculum tailored to their individual needs. You'll work closely with teaching staff and other professionals to help children thrive socially, emotionally, and academically.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with their learning and development
• Assisting with the delivery of personalised learning plans
• Helping pupils to build confidence, communication, and independence
• Supporting the management of behaviour in a positive, inclusive way
• Contributing to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress
• Promoting a safe, caring and supportive learning environment
• Collaborating with staff and parents/carers to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with children with SEN (particularly MLD, ASD, or communication difficulties) is highly desirable
• A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
• A genuine passion for working with children who have additional needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A willingness to undertake relevant training (e.g. safeguarding, Team Teach, Makaton)
• Minimum Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent is preferred
