Job summary

Treleigh Community Primary School in Redruth invites an enthusiastic teacher to join our Lower Key Stage 2 team. The successful candidate will have KS2 experience, ideally in a mixed Year 3/4 class, and a secure understanding of the primary National Curriculum.

They will establish clear routines, plan engaging lessons, and work collaboratively with colleagues. The role uses assessment to identify gaps, supports pupils including SEND and disadvantaged learners, and builds positive relationships

Qualifications

• Experience of teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally a mixed-age Year 3/4 class.
• Secure knowledge of the primary National Curriculum for Lower Key Stage 2.
• High expectations and commitment to ensuring pupils make strong progress.
• Establish clear routines and high standards of pupil behaviour.
• Confident in planning and delivering engaging, well-sequenced lessons.
• Willing to work as part of a phase team with shared planning and assessment.
• Share ideas, resources and expertise with colleagues.
• Use assessment to identify gaps and adapt teaching accordingly.
• Support pupils with a range of needs including SEND and disadvantaged pupils.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Be reflective, adaptable and contribute to the wider life of the school.
