Job summary

Harley House Supported Living in Ipswich is seeking caring, reliable Support Workers for a full-time, permanent role. You will provide person-centred support, including daily living tasks, medication assistance, and helping people live independently.

The role requires flexibility for day and night shifts, weekends, and bank holidays, with full training provided, including PBS and safeguarding. A UK driving licence is preferred for mobility-related roles.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or in a similar care role.
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is desirable.
• Understanding of autism, learning disabilities, mental health and safeguarding.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support, including personal care.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Support individuals with medication administration.
• Encourage independence and development of practical life skills.
• Support access to appointments, activities and community opportunities.
• Follow care plans, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures.
• Complete accurate records and daily notes.
• Collaborate with colleagues through handovers and team meetings.
• Respond to needs of the people we support day and night.
