TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Northstowe, supporting pupils with Autism, Moderate Learning Difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties. This full-time role involves one-to-one and small-group work, helping students access learning and develop life skills in a supportive team.

The successful candidate will work with teachers and therapists to meet EHCP targets, require empathy, resilience, and strong communication, and benefit

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEND.
• Patient, empathetic approach.
• Strong communication, resilience and teamwork skills.
• Confidence supporting pupils with communication and sensory needs.
• Reliable transport is highly desirable due to school location.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply).

Responsibilities

• One-to-one and small-group support for students with ASD, MLD, SLD and associated needs
• Assisting with structured learning activities and communication support
• Supporting pupils with sensory needs, emotional regulation and behaviour
• Helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
• Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and support staff to meet EHCP targets
