Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is assisting a primary school in Cheetham Hill (M8) to recruit a Year 3 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support to a child throughout the school day.

You will work closely with the class teacher and the SEN team to adapt activities, monitor progress and help the pupil access lessons with confidence, building trust while maintaining clear boundaries and high expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience providing 1:1 support in a primary school.
• Experience working with pupils with SEN, including autism, SEMH or related needs.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils while maintaining boundaries.
• Patient, resilient and nurturing approach across the day.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
• Adapt activities and resources to help the pupil access learning.
• Support engagement, concentration and independence.
• Assist with classroom routines and transitions.
• Support the pupil's social, emotional and behavioural development.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SEN team to ensure appropriate support.
