Job summary

Midforest Vets, located in Lyndhurst, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a small, close-knit team in a modern, supportive practice. The role covers nursing for first opinion cases, with a focus on high standards of client care and teamwork in a picturesque New Forest setting.

You’ll work 40 hours per week (flexible 4–5 days), with a 1 in 5 Saturday rota and no out-of-hours requirement.Training and progression pathways are available through our Nurse Academy and Graduate Programme.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Experience working in clinical practice with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively.
• A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement.

At Midforest Vets, you’ll join a small, close-knit team where everyone works collaboratively to deliver exceptional patient care in a supportive environment. You’ll be part of a practice that blends tradition with modern veterinary medicine, all in a stunning New Forest location.

Our Lyndhurst site is nestled in the heart of the New Forest, housed in a charming, thatched cottage that’s been serving the local community for over 35 years.

How You’ll Make a Difference

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.

You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.

Working Pattern

• 40 hours per week however we can be flexible
• 4 or 5 days per week
• 1 in 5 Saturday rota (8:30am–12:30pm)
• no out-of-hours requirement
