Job summary

Trafford Leisure is recruiting a Full-Time Lifeguard for Stretford Leisure Centre. You will help keep swimmers safe and provide a welcoming experience for all ages.

You will work a rolling rota including mornings, evenings and weekends, and must hold an NPLQ and be able to commit to full-time hours on a permanent basis. Trafford Leisure offers a supportive environment and comprehensive staff benefits.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all swimming customers as a lifeguard.

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the centre.

About the Role

As a Lifeguard, you’ll play an important role in ensuring every customer has a safe, enjoyable and positive experience when visiting our centre.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the safety of all swimming customers by providing vigilant lifeguard support.
• Delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors.
• Meeting and greeting customers and checking them into activities.
• Setting up activity areas and equipment to meet programme requirements.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the centre.
• Working as part of a team to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility.

To Be Successful in This Role

• A valid Royal Life Saving Society National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
• A passion for providing excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Hours

This position is 36.25 hours per week, averaged across a rolling rota which includes morning, evening and weekend shifts.
