Job summary

The Barnstaple Hotel, part of Brend Collection, is hiring a Housekeeper to maintain high standards of cleanliness in guest rooms and public areas. You will work with the team or alone, reporting issues and supporting other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas to a high standard.
• Report maintenance issues thoroughly.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and report concerns.
• Follow HASAWA, fire safety and legal requirements.
• Assist other departments and maintain good working relationships.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly.

What will I be doing?

As a Housekeeper at The Barnstapple Hotel, you are responsible for cleaning guest bedrooms, bathrooms and all public areas to a high standard, communicating with other departments, working effectively within a team or on your own as well as achieving departmental targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness in all hotel bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas
• Ensure thorough reporting of any maintenance issues
• Friendly and professional customer service when dealing with customers
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any concerns
• Understand and comply with company policy on HASAWA, fire precautions, legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
• Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
• Ensuring the correct use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
